      1. Garhwali Dance

The dancers wear traditional attire and perform rhythmic movements that showcase the region’s folk traditions. The Garhwali dance is usually accompanied by songs and musical instruments like the dhol, damau, and rabab.

      2. Kumaoni Dance

      • This dance form is from the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. It is lively and colorful, and dancers move in a circular formation to the beat of traditional instruments. Chholiya, a traditional sword dance, is a famous type of Kumaoni dance, where men dressed in warrior-like costumes engage in combat-style choreography, symbolizing strength and valor.

      5. Jhora

      • The Jhora dance is performed by men and women during religious or social gatherings. The dancers form a circle and move in a rhythmic manner, and swaying to the music. It is a simple, and yet graceful dance that is often accompanied by traditional folk songs.
